Choose resource-friendly accommodations
Hotels that act in the interest of the environment distinguish themselves, for example, by saving electricity or covering their energy needs with renewable energies or by offering their guests climate-friendly means of transport (e.g. through in-house bicycle rental).
The use of regional products and the economical use of water are also important.
In alignment with our Green Line, SCC EVENTS supports such accommodations. The classification was based on an assessment by our partner WWF.
Choose environmentally friendly hotels
A good night's sleep and a healthy runner’s breakfast are important factors for a successful finish at the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON. The right hotel will offer both, and if they also act in a sustainable manner, all the better.
As the organiser of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON, SCC EVENTS is always focussed on making our events as environmentally friendly as possible. In the run-up to the event, every participant can contribute to this.
In addition to climate-friendly travel to and from the event, everyone can also help keep the ecological footprint to a minimum by choosing sustainable accommodations.

Together for sport
visitBerlin Partnerhotels celebrate the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON finishers and strengthen sports enthusiasm
The members of the sports working group of visitBerlin Partnerhotels e.V. are sending a clear signal for promoting Berlin as a sports metropolis. A first joint project is the introduction of "Medal Sunday & Monday", which will be launched to coincide with the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON.
With this campaign, the hoteliers want to honour the finishers of the marathon race and contribute to strengthening the spirit of sport in the city.
Well prepared for the race
An essential offer of all participating partner hotels is the early opening of the breakfast offers during the marathon weekend. This way, participants and their teams, families and friends can start the day well prepared for the race.
Some of the venues also offer relaxed running sessions before the race or provide additional snacks such as bananas and water to go before the race.
A sign of recognition
Berlin's hotel partners, who are committed to promoting sport and a sense of community in the city, extend a warm welcome to all marathon finishers.
As a token of appreciation for their performance, all participants will receive a free drink in the hotel bars or restaurants upon presentation of their finisher medal.
In addition, all athletes will of course have the opportunity for a late check-out for a well-deserved rest. Special discounts in the hotel restaurants and in selected wellness facilities round off the promotion.

Other initiatives planned
The campaign marks the beginning of a long-term effort by participating hotels to sustainably strengthen Berlin as a sports metropolis. The working group has set itself the goal of extending similar initiatives to other sports events in the future and thus, as Berlin's hosts, to promote the common idea of sport.
