The race entry lottery for the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON 2024 is closed!
As with all events in the Abbott World Marathon Majors Series (AbbottWMM), BMW BERLIN-MARATHON race entries are allocated by lottery. Registration for the lottery of race entries for 2024 took place from 28.09. to 16.11.2023. Registration is no longer possible.
All participants in the lottery (also through qualifying times) received automatically their lottery result and further information by e-mail during the day on December 6, 2023. We keep our fingers crossed!

Registration
- Registration takes place via a personal user account
- Payment information must be entered to complete the registration. Payment will only be debited AFTER the draw and only if you have been allocated a race entry.
- Registration is personal and cannot be transferred or canceled.
- After registration you will receive a confirmation by e-mail. This is not yet a race entry confirmation.
- The results of the draw for the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON will be announced at the beginning of December 2023.
You can register for the lottery in one of the following three ways. Please note that the selection is binding and your registration cannot be changed afterwards.
Registration
- Each team member needs their own user account.
- When registering, the first person indicates that this is a team registration and chooses a name for the team.
- Once registration is complete, a team code is sent with the registration confirmation.
- This code must be passed on to the other 1-2 team members.
- The other members of the team select “Join an existing team” when registering and enter the code.
- Each team member completes the registration themselves, enters payment details and receives confirmation by e-mail.
Participation
- If the team is drawn in the lottery, all members of the team receive a race entry.
- There is no team ranking. Each person is listed individually in the results list.
- If a team member is unable to run after the draw, this has no effect on the other members of the team. A subsequent nomination is not possible.
Registration
- To register as a fast runner a proof of the qualification time achieved and a proof of age must be uploaded during the registration process.
- Make sure that all qualification information is visible on your proof.
- Registering as a fast runner is not a guarantee of a race entry. You will only be accepted after your proof has been checked at the beginning of December 2023.
- In the event of invalid proof, the registration will be considered in the draw for race entries.
Proof
- The qualifying time must have been achieved in an official race that is part of the AbbottWMM Wanda Age Group World Rankings, certified by AIMS or listed by USTA TF.
- Only official certificates and links to the official results page of the race will be recognized as proof.
- Only marathon times are counted. These must not be older than 3 years (time run in 2021).
- Results from other routes or virtual events are not taken into account.
Qualifying times
- Maler Runners up to 44 years (born 2006 to 1980): under 2:45 hours
Runners up to 59 years (born 1979 to 1965): under 2:55 hours
Runners 60 years and older (born 1964 and older): under 3:25 hours - Female Runners up to 44 years (born 2006 to 1980) under: 3:10 hours
Female runners up to 59 years (born 1979 to 1965): under 3:30 hours
Female runners over 60 years (born 1964 and older): under 4:20 hours
